Miguel Tavares, 1992, Portugal. His artistic practice arises from an urgency to investigate online communities, bizarre phenomena, contemporary diseases, obsolete/future technologies, and the construction of present-day images.
Highlights include group presentations at Appleton (2022), Galeria Zé dos Bois (2024), Cinemateca de Bogotá (2019), Batalha Centro de Cinema (2023), Oficinas do Convento (2024). He is represented in the Balaclava Noir collection.
Member of Laboratório da Torre - Laboratório de Cinema Experimental, Porto. Professor in the Cinema/Moving Image department at Ar.Co, Lisboa, from 2017 to 2025.
